The 30-year-old pop star and the 28-year-old real estate agent finalized their divorce after nearly three years of marriage.
Ariana filed for divorce six months ago, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their separation. The settlement was finalized by a court in Los Angeles on Tuesday (19.03.24), Sky News reports. As part of the settlement, the pop star made a one-time payment of $1.25 million to her ex-husband.
The real estate agent will also receive half of the profit from the sale of their Los Angeles home. Additionally, Ariana was ordered to pay up to $25,000 in Dalton's legal fees. The former couple started dating in 2020 but split in February 2023.
Ariana previously described 2023 as one of the "most challenging" years of her life. The "Thank U, Next" hitmaker split from Dalton last year, and in 2023 she also filmed the film adaptation of "Wicked."
Ariana wrote on Instagram: "One of the most transformative, most challenging, yet happiest and most special years of my life. there were so many beautiful yet polarizing feelings. I have never felt more humbled and accepting of this, which life was crying out to teach me. I've never felt more fulfilled or present in my work, able to appreciate every moment. I've given all I could give of my heart and myself to the projects I was blessed to have to be a part of, and I've learned so much from every brilliant, beautiful soul I've had the privilege of creating art and crossing paths with this year."/BGNES
