Eight more trucks with food, medicine and water are expected to cross into the Gaza Strip on October 27, a senior UN official said.
"We received approximately 74 trucks. We expect about eight more today," Lynn Hastings, the UN humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory, told reporters in Geneva, the Guardian reported.
Aid workers have repeatedly said that the convoys meet only a small part of the territory's growing humanitarian needs. Before the war, an average of 500 trucks entered Gaza every day./BGNES
