Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has expressed confidence that his side will overcome Bayern Munich and reach the Champions League final. The 14-time trophy winners drew 2-2 at the Allianz Arena in the semi-final first leg, with Vinicius scoring both goals.
"I am confident because this is Real Madrid, we have this squad, I am confident in the fans who will support us. We think we are better, but if you ask Thomas Tuchel, he will probably tell you the same", Ancelotti said at his press conference today.
The Italian specialist admitted that six-time champions Bayern were the better of the two teams in the first leg. "These are similar clubs, they have a great history and a lot of success in the Champions League. We respect them...they were better than us in the first game", he added, confirming that Andriy Lunin will return under the frame after returnee Thibaut Courtois kept a clean sheet at the weekend in the classic 3:0 win over Cadiz.
Real welcomes Bayern to the Santiago Bernabeu tomorrow night, May 8, at 22:00 Bulgarian time. /BGNES
