The new heroine of the German edition of Playboy is the Princess of Saxony, the great-great-granddaughter of the last King of Saxony, Frederick Augustus III.
Xenia Florence Gabriella Sophie Iris, 37, posed topless for the magazine's March cover and for a photo shoot: in the pictures, she posed bare-breasted, covering other parts of her body with a white translucent fabric.
In an interview with the magazine, Xenia said she decided to do a candid photo shoot to show that every woman is "beautiful exactly as she is": "You don't have to chase trends or do plastic surgery just to please someone . I have stretch marks and I'm not ashamed to show them," the tabloid Page Six quoted her as saying. Xenia has participated in many reality shows and it is this experience that has shaped her attitude towards her own body.
According to her, she constantly has to fight prejudice - not only because of her famous background, but also because of her looks. "In some reality shows, I was the only contestant who didn't do anything to my body. Other women, who almost all had a lot of plastic surgery, told me I was no competition for them because I didn't have curves and wasn't feminine enough."
Haters wrote similar things to Xenia on social networks and she even started thinking about plastic surgery, but she hasn't done it yet. "I'm happiest with my body when it's all right and doesn't hurt. I never judge myself by my appearance."
In addition to starring in numerous reality shows, the Princess of Saxony is known for being an Ikea model as well as publishing an autobiographical book, "Xenia: The Life of a 21st Century Princess." However, the book outraged her relative, German Prince Maria Emmanuel of Saxony, head of the Saxon royal house. "She's a nobody, she can't write an autobiography! It's all a terrible mistake, a misfortune for the thousand-year history of the House of Wettin," he said of his distant relative's autobiography. According to the head of the House of Saxony, the princess's title is questionable in principle, as Xenia's family is very distantly related to the main branch of the royal house (the princess's father is a farmer, her mother is a hairdresser). / BGNES
