American rapper Travis Scott arrested in Paris after fight

American rapper Travis Scott was arrested early on August 9 for fighting at a five-star hotel in Paris, AFP reports.

"Police officers were called to the Georges V hotel and arrested Travis Scott for violence against a security agent," the Paris prosecutor's office said.

Scott was seen attending the men's basketball semi-final on the evening of August 8.

The music star, whose real name is Jacques Berman Webster, was arrested in Miami Beach in June for trespassing and disorderly conduct while intoxicated.

"Scott's "Utopia" was nominated for Best Rap Album at this year's Grammy Awards.

His other endeavors include merchandising contracts with Nike, video game maker Epic Games and fast food company McDonald's.

Scott has two children by social media star and business mogul Kylie Jenner. | BGNES
