Alcaraz will play the final of the Olympics after a recital against Félix Auger-Aliassim

Carlos Alcaraz is the first finalist of the Olympic tennis tournament in Paris. The Iberian defeated Canadian Felix Auger-Aliasim in two sets - 6:1, 6:1.

Alcaraz will face the winner of the other semi-final between Novak Djokovic and Lorenzo Musetti. The gold match is on Sunday, August 4. A few hours earlier, Auger-Aliasim will fought for the bronze with Djokovic - Musetti, who lost the battle.

The start of the first set determined the course of the match. Alcaraz was merciless and gave only one game to his opponent. Auger-Aliassime could have lost his first service game after Alcaraz reached 40:40. However, the Canadian resisted. In the third game of the meeting, there was no forgiveness and Alcaraz made a break at 30.

The break was secured, and Auger-Aliassi was broken once more in the fifth game of the match when the Spaniard's lead swelled to 4:1. The set went to the account of Alcaraz on the opponent's service.

The second set went similarly, but the breakthrough came a little later - in the fourth game and for 1:3 in favour of Alcaraz. With an advantage for the Spaniard, Auger-Aliasim made a double mistake, which only made the task of the Iberian easier. In the next game, Alcaraz consolidated his breakthrough, losing only two points. It was all but over for Auger-Aliassime in the sixth game of the match when he was broken for the second time after some very strong play from Alcaraz from the baseline.
