Adele had an ear infection and claimed the pain was greater than childbirth.
The 36-year-old singer is nearing the end of her "Weekends with Adele" residency in Sin City after two years of sporadic performances there, but on the evening of Oct. 26 revealed to an audience that she had been struck down with a "pretty grim" infection. She said the pain was "worse" than giving birth.
"I have an ear infection, which is pretty grim. I've never had one before. It's the most painful thing that's ever happened to me. It's worse than childbirth. It's a rare water bacteria. It's very difficult to treat," Adele told the audience from the stage during her Las Vegas concert.
The singer had started a course of antibiotics to treat the condition, but was initially prescribed the wrong ones for a few days and wanted to cut off her ear due to the pain.
"I was on the wrong antibiotics for a few days and they were able to give me ones that started working. I wanted to cut my ear off a few times. It doesn't hurt anymore, which is great, but I'm a little deaf in my left ear!" she explained.
Meanwhile, the 'Someone Like You' singer is also a cat lover and said she has set up a special room in her mansion so she can one day rescue many.
"Once I move into my new house, I will definitely become a foster mom to cats. I've created a room my fiancé doesn't even know exists, and I'll have multiple crates with all the accessories built into the wall. He'll never know about it... but maybe now he will because I said it on stage. I would love to do this full time," Adele stated. | BGNES
