Adele is taking a long break from music after 100th Las Vegas concert

British superstar Adele wept after her 100th and final show in Las Vegas.

For the past two years, she performed weekend concerts at the 4,000-capacity Caesars Palace. The singer often interacted with fans, but indicated the experience was emotionally draining.

Earlier this year, she said she planned to take a "big break" from music.

"I'm so sad this one is over, but I'm glad it happened. I'm really glad," she said with tears in her eyes as she said goodbye to Vegas.

"I'm going to miss it an awful lot. I don't know when I'll perform again," Adele added.

The star had concerts at Caesars Palace every Friday and Saturday. Over the years, audiences witnessed many memorable moments, including Adele bursting into tears after spotting Celine Dion at a concert.

The two singers later embraced at the Coliseum Theatre at Caesars Palace, a venue originally built for Dion's debut show in 2003. Adele is known to adore the Canadian icon, and Dion responds to her with the same.

In July, Adele, known for hits like Rolling In The Deep, Hello, Someone Like You and Easy On Me, revealed that she plans to take a longer break from music after her current run of concerts.

"The 36-year-old English singer admitted that she gets nervous easily and is now "old and grumpy".

"I don't have any plans for new music. I want a big break after all this and I think I want to do other creative things for a while. You know, I don't even sing at home at all. How weird is that?" she stated.

One of the reasons she wants to take a break from music is that the spotlight is coming to her more.

"I miss everything from before I was famous. I probably miss the anonymity the most. I like that I can make music all the time whenever I want and people are receptive to it and like it. It's great, but the fame side is absolutely unbearable for me," Adele added. | BGNES
