British woman Emma Parsons-Reed and her husband sleep not just in separate beds, but in separate rooms, but still consider themselves a couple in love. Their separate sleeping arrangements were established literally from the day of their wedding, the wife explained. Their story was published by Metro.
The two met in 2002. At the time, they were both divorced after previous marriages and were used to privacy, especially in the bedroom. Both were happy with their sex life but had a problem sleeping together. "Kevin snored, he was always hot, and I slept restlessly, often pushing him out of bed in my sleep. Needless to say, by morning we were both exhausted," she recalls. In 2006, they married and went on honeymoon. "It was absolute hell on earth. By the third day, Kevin had moved to sleep in a bathtub in the hotel parking lot. I slept in the hotel," Emma said.
As a result, the couple outfitted two bedrooms in their house. Thanks to the separate bedrooms, 56-year-old Emma explains that she and her 62-year-old husband sleep well, maintain a sex drive and call themselves a couple in love to the core.
Strangely enough, now the reasons for their split sleeping are changing. "Kev has kidney cancer and has lost a lot of weight, which means he's always cold and no longer snores. Meanwhile, I feel hot all the time, went through menopause and put on weight by stopping smoking. This means that now I snore. Ironic, isn't it?" sums up Emma Parsons-Reed. | BGNES
