A "Pizzeria of Horrors" festival was organized in Naples

The "Pizzeria of Horrors" festival has opened in Naples, Italy, the website of the Italian Association of Agricultural Producers Coldiretti announced.

On it, the organizers showed pizzas with exotic and sometimes disgusting, according to Italians, additives that are found outside of Italy. For example, among the exhibits, there was a pizza from Hong Kong, with reptile meat. Crickets and beetles are used in pizzas from Vietnam, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries. The Australian pizza contained kangaroo and ostrich meat, and the South African pizza contained zebra meat.

At Pizza in the US, diners find chicken, pineapple, and macaroni and cheese. In the Portuguese version, the filling of the calzone is cod with boiled eggs. The pizzas from Sweden were distinguished by some of the most atypical combinations, where turkey with honey, cabbage salad, meatballs, and even chocolate with canned fruit were added to the pizza./BGNES
