Although it will happen much later than anticipated, Andor will return for Season 2. Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte are the only Star Wars series scheduled to debut on Disney+ in 2024, according to a recent press release. The second season of Andor, which creator Tony Gilroy had initially planned to debut in the summer of 2024, is not included in the schedule.

The WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood created production interruptions on the show, which resulted in the postponement. Fans saw the main character completely embracing Rebels in the first teaser trailer for season 2, which premiered in early 2023, bringing the story closer to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Season 1 was an enormous success, with remarkable scores of 96% and 86% on Rotten Tomatoes in addition to overwhelming praise from critics and fans. The gritty, character-focused storyline of the show was highly acclaimed as well. It deviated from the conventional Jedi versus Sith narrative and explored the darker, more somber facets of the Galactic Civil War. /BGNES
