A book has revealed what Prince William was like as a student

Prince William has more or less the same wild temperament as his brother, Prince Harry, but is a little more image-conscious, their mutual friends say. Evidence of this appeared in the Daily Mail, which quoted an extract from Penny Juner's book Prince William: Born to be King.

The author of the book claims that in the beginning it was very difficult for Prince William to integrate into student life. People around him were constantly staring at him, and his guards, who were trying to pass themselves off as students, stood out quite a bit in their old fashioned clothes.
He also doubted his ability to learn. Social anthropology is very theoretical, and William is quite a practical man.
“The University of St Andrews has very bright students. I remember trying to get into Oxford from school in Birmingham: when you talk to your peers, they all look like they know more than you. And in part that was true of William. He wasn't the brightest student we had, but he was always conscientious," Dr. Corner, a university official who looked after the prince, was quoted as saying.
William spent his first year begging his father, Prince Charles, and grandfather, Prince Philip, to let him leave. But by the second year of study, he is gradually included in student life.

This was largely due to starting a relationship with Kate Middleton and moving with her and two of their mutual friends into a small apartment in a house almost entirely occupied by students. There were constant parties there, and they were so noisy that the only teacher who rented an apartment in this building was constantly suffering and asking her neighbors to be quieter, but it didn't help.
According to Dr. Korner, friends helped the prince overcome loneliness. In addition, they protected him from excessive attention from others and sometimes even from aggression. An employee of the university claimed that he once saw how in a fishing village not far from the university a local resident tried to annoy William, and friends literally surrounded the prince from all sides.
After relaxing, Prince William began to lead the usual lifestyle of a British student: he wore jeans and trinkets, periodically got drunk and had fun with friends. Some of them still remember how William was amused by the fact that the landlady of his rented apartment received a sex toy for her birthday. At the same time, the prince most likely never tried drugs.
The idea that Harry is wild and William is good is nonsense. They were both wild. William knew how to relax and periodically got very drunk - as befits a student. She liked to go out with friends, but was careful to maintain her image. “You got mad, so what? Nobody cares. But if you've tried drugs, it will taint you forever if you want to be king one day,' said one of Princes Harry and William's mutual friends

As a result, the prince was able to live the life of his dreams, though not for long. He was able to become one of the students, blend in with the crowd, walk calmly around the campus and enter shops and cafes. However, if William had to write an essay and his friends were not available to accompany him, he preferred to work on it at home rather than in the library where someone could come and strike up a conversation with him.
It was previously reported that Kate Middleton was attracted to Prince William because she didn't really stand out among the other girls. William, who graduated from a boys' school, was very shy in the presence of members of the opposite sex, and his future wife stood out among them in that she did not particularly try to please him. /BGNES
