Alexander Vezenkov recorded the first minutes of his career in the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the victory of his Sacramento Kings over the Utah Jazz with 130:114 away.
Sasha Vezenkov this morning officially became the second Bulgarian to play in the "Alien League" (after Georgi Glushkov), and helped the "Kings" start their campaign successfully, finishing with 8 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals in just over 15 minutes of playing time. His first basket with Sacramento was a 3-pointer in the first quarter with just over 5 minutes remaining. Sasha finished 3/6 from the field and 2/5 from three.
Harrison Barnes was the top scorer for the Californians with 33 points. Domantas Sabonis added a double-double - 22 points and 12 rebounds, De'Aaron Fox scored 18, and Keegan Murray and Malik Monk added 15 and 10, respectively. For the Jazzmen, Jordan Clarkson topped everyone with 24 points, and Lauri Markkanen and John Collins finished with double-doubles, but it wasn't enough for Utah, which lost to Sacramento in its last preseason game.
The Kings next host the Golden State Warriors on Saturday morning, while Utah will play at home in Salt Lake City again, this time against the LA Clippers. /BGNES
