The Houston rapper officially launched Hot Girl Systems, a bold apparel collection designed with all body types in mind, Harper's Bazaar reports.
Whether she's on stage performing impressive sets or in the studio preparing her next hit, the Houston rap sensation knows how to make her fans believe they can do anything. So when the star started sharing photos of her fitness and wellness regimen online, her legions of fans wanted to know more, like who she works out with, how she got started and, of course, what she wears.
What began as a growing partnership with Nike has now become the ultimate offering for Meg's most loyal fans: Hot Girl Systems, a clothing line produced jointly by the two cultural giants and designed with every body type in mind.
"I had to make sure the collection reflected my brand. I didn't want to just slap my name and logo on the collection, so I collaborated with Nike to make sure my creative ideas were integrated into the items," the rapper said.
The 10-piece collection includes sporting goods like sports bras and cycling shorts, as well as streetwear like a sleek long-sleeve bodysuit and cropped bomber jacket. Of course, select items feature red flame details that pay homage to the rapper's image as a "hot girl."
"It was important to me to make the fashion collection accessible to all body types. I want people to feel comfortable, confident and stylish when they try on the collection," she explained.
Hot Girl Systems is just the beginning. Starting next month, two exclusive workouts conceptualized by Megan (appropriately named Hottie Lower Body and Hottie Core) will appear on the Nike Training Club app so fans can try out some of her workout program for themselves. And if you keep asking yourself, "What's her secret?" regarding her daily routine, she did share one curious detail, "Cardio is a big part of my workouts, so I'm always on the elliptical or the StairMaster."
When it comes to well-being, the rapper said her approach prioritizes emotional well-being as well as physical, focusing on "mind, body and soul."
"People underestimate the positive and powerful impact working out can have on mental health. The most important piece of advice I would give to anyone who wants to get into fitness is to do it for yourself," she explained. "Unfortunately, many people in today's society work out to try to look like someone else on social media. We all have different bodies and different health goals, so it's important to show up for yourself first and that will guide your journey. Ultimately, my goal will always be to inspire people to invest in their physical and mental well-being in a safe and healthy way."
It is imperative for the rapper to take care of her health as she begins a busy year. She will soon release her highly anticipated third album, which will be followed by a tour. This will be the first time she will do so as a fully independent artist.
"Honestly, I've been dreaming of this moment for so long - I can't wait to see all my fans across the country pull up and party with me," she said.
"My tour, combined with more new music, will make 2024 special and impressive. It is truly a blessing to be in this position to have complete creative control over my music career, especially at such an early stage. I don't take it for granted at all and am just excited to show the world my growth as an entrepreneur and as an artist," the rapper concluded. / BGNES
