Cotton, linen, navy and light tones: for its spring/summer 2025 men's collection, Hermès takes to the high seas, offering a fresh, ethereal look with an aquatic theme through the prism of water, AFP reports.
"A light breeze permeates the collection, which performs in the city or on the horizon (...) The pace is free," says designer Veronica Nitchanian, who has been responsible for the men's collections at Hermès for more than 30 years, on a poetic note.
"The clothes are reflected in the transparency of the water," she adds.
Ankle-length trousers reveal Grecian sandals. A sleeveless ivory cardigan with large pockets is reminiscent of a chic fisherman's jacket.
For this summer collection, the fashion house's distinctive flagship material, leather, is absent, except of course in the bags and travel accessories.
The designer has taken inspiration from the shirt with a detachable knot collar, offering transparency, and bomber jackets, the star piece of next season, here with patterns.
Dark leather strappy sandals can be worn with wide-leg trousers in lychee.
Wrists and necks are adorned with exquisite jewelry, including bracelets and chains designed by artist and shoemaker Pierre Hardy. | BGNES
