At the fashion show at Havana's Beach Club on May 4, people will be able to exchange their unwanted clothes for pre-loved models for the summer.
The 9th Daadi Clothes Swaps will take place during this spring's fashion show; according to the founder, Lauren Staton, "this will be the biggest swap I've ever held."
Lauren has been inundated with colorful spring and summer clothing that is in need of a new home ever since she announced her upcoming event. She expressed her excitement, noting that each participant would help to support the genuine lives of hardworking clothes makers in addition to providing our community with fresh clothing finds.
The cost of entry to the event is €12 via the internet and €15 on the day if you want to buy an organic, personalized Daadi bag. This is the "basket" that you can fill to the brim with the clothing you wish to take home in return for your undesired items.
The ladies in India who made these bags are the ones who will receive all of the funds earned during the event. Their working circumstances leave them worn out and with little money to maintain their families.
Daadi was established to better the lives of women and children in India as well as the country's labor structure, and Lauren frequently travels there to see her friends abroad. More than 120 people were welcomed into the last Daadu swap; this May, you may make an impact that extends far beyond your closet. /BGNES
