Particularly when it comes to style, Anne Hathaway is game for a challenge.
The 41-year-old actress has undergone a style renaissance, or as we like to call a "re-anne-ssance," from Princess of Genovia to queen of high fashion. She has also pulled off a number of glitzy ensembles in recent years, such as the ones she most recently wore in New York City for the Idea of You press tour, reported People.
The actress, who is also the film's producer, looked stunning in all-leather attire as she attended a screening and panel discussion on April 28. Erin Walsh styled her look.
Walsh paired a leather vest, blazer, and pants with a white collared shirt and black tie for an edgy Ralph Lauren ensemble that was full of layers. She also donned sunglasses, Bulgari jewelry, and high-heeled Jimmy Choo shoes.
The outfit, which combined elements of masculine and feminine style, brought to mind Julie Andrews' 1982 Victor/Victoria suit, which Hathaway also wore on the cover of V Magazine.
Hathaway's dedication to leather was more impressive given that it was about 80 degrees in New York City on the day she wore it. We have no idea how she managed to pull off one of the heaviest fabrics, but she looked amazing anyway.
The Oscar winner maintained her fashion mojo on April 29 by dressing in two monochrome ensembles. She started off by dressing in a Patou white minidress and cropped jacket (both with gold buttons) for a modern take on Victorian grace. She accessorized with a white Le Patou crescent bag, also by Patou, and white Calzedonia white tights, which are a really in-style piece right now.
After then, Hathaway changed into a sheer aquamarine dress with an abs-baring strip that exposed a tad bit of skin. The dress also had an oceanic feel because of the frivolous curving skirt hem. Stilettos in teal completed the ensemble.
Similar to her own manner, Hathaway enjoys taking chances and pushing the boundaries in her performances. This is evident in The Idea of You, which will be available on Prime Video on May 2.
Speaking to PEOPLE about her role as Soléne at the SXSW premiere in March, she said, "At the beginning of the film, the character...she's really scared of going on that adventure because she's had such a rough experience with her ex-husband." "Therefore, I was deeply touched by the chance to share the tale of a woman blossoming."
A boy band member almost two decades her junior, Hayes (Nicholas Galitzine), wins Soléne over, and Hathaway told PEOPLE it was "a real thrill to be a part of the team bringing this to life."
"I'm not sure why there aren't more tales of people succeeding in life at any age. We constantly mature as a species./BGNES
