More and more small fashion brands are producing in a way that does not impact on nature, while big industry is timidly groping for regulatory measures in clothing production, fabrics and innovation.
A team from BGNES and Cantarelli flew to Italy to rock the stands at the Milano Unica 2024 in search of answers about whether the personal fashion consultant will tackle the eternal question of "what to wear today", whether we are getting carried away with "fast fashion" and how the fashion business could be "ethical".
Clelia Togna workds as Business Development and Operation Manager at Trabaldo Togna Spa - Manufacturer of clothing and textiles in Italy. The company's specialty is… Estrato - the perfect fabric when elegance and comfort are an essential part of your life without the use of any synthetic elements, Clelia told BGNES.
With its natural elasticity, Estrato is the best starting point for creating clothing that always retains its impeccable, refined style, even after a long journey or hectic day.
Estrato is designed in many versions with the fineness of the wool varying from Super 120s to Super 180s, and a variety of styles guaranteed to satisfy every imaginable desire for elegance. Super 150’S and Super 180’S wools are RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) certified: this certificate confirms their provenance from responsible farms and the sustainability of the entire production process.
“We have a line of sustainable fabrics which we develop with RWS and organic cotton”, Clelia Togna explained.
“Some people that are not so passionate about fashion but they want to look good might need a personal fashion consultant”, she emphasized. /BGNES
