A Vietnamese designer presented a sustainable fashion collection in London

At the recent Green Fashion Show in London, Vietnamese designer Lan Huong presented a sustainable fashion collection made from 100% ramie yarn, which is biodegradable and can be reused and recycled.
Along with the sustainable garments on display, the exhibition also featured the history of ramie and the ways in which it is used in life, Vietnam + reported.
Visitors to the exhibition could immerse themselves in Huong's giant sketchbook, learn how her ramie collection was created and how ramie revolutionized industries.
Green fashion is a focus of sustainable marketing, as the fashion industry accounts for 8-10% of global carbon emissions, which is far more than all shipping and international flights combined.
The exhibition hopes to raise public awareness of green fashion and sustainable consumption and introduce Vietnamese fashion to the British.
The event attracted more than 1,000 visitors who work in fashion, museums, research and business across London, Birmingham and Bournemouth.
Florence Okoye of the Natural History Museum in London said she was impressed by the exhibition on green fashion - the combination of history and art that highlights sustainable development.
She added that she will discuss with her colleagues the inclusion of the exhibition in the activities of the museum./BGNES
