GERB and Movements for Rights and Freedoms parliamentary parties achieved an agreement with Finance Minister Asen Vasilev on the framework of Budget 2024. We have reached an agreement on the budget issue, GERB's Temenuzka Petkova declared during a joint conference. According to a BGNES reporter, Yordan Tsonev from DPS indicated that the Minister of Finance will present the amended budget next week.
The primary adjustment in the budget is the elimination of the Gazprom payment, which reduces the spending component by BGN 2.2 billion. The remainder of the financial structure remains unchanged, as Finance Minister Asen Vasilev himself indicated. The derogation will be revoked in two stages, according to GERB's Desislava Atanasova.
