"GERB lost the elections in Sofia and other big cities, and therefore, together with the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), they invented fake news that manipulations with the voting machines were being prepared. Everything starts from some mythical report of the State Agency for National Security (SANS), which was signed by the vice-chairman of SANS. It is best that SANS does not meddle in the elections. Citizens should not succumb to this new affair, very much like the infamous Kostinbrod Affair"
This was stated by Atanas Atanasov, the co-chairman of the parliamentary group of "We continue the change" - "Democratic Bulgaria", BGNES reported.
Atanasov reminded that the Central Election Commission (CEC) is the body responsible for conducting the elections according to law. "Let the CEC decide", pointed out Atanasov and urged people not to succumb to this "new Kostinbrod affair". (Editor's note: In 2013, for the parliamentary elections, a private printing house in the small town of Kostinbrod, Bulgaria, 400,000 ballots above the premitted limit by law were printed out and suspicion for meddling in the elections and forging the results appeared. After long legal proceedings all accusations were taken down).
According to Kiril Petkov, today's circus was created by GERB because, in addition to losing the elections in Sofia, they will also be a third political force.
"We are not at all afraid to vote entirely on paper, it is important that we all go out and vote. It's time to take back our cities", Kiril Petkov also said.
Hristo Ivanov added to his colleagues, who characterized the allegations of machine voting manipulation as a "panicked last day of the campaign". /BGNES
