We will immediately return the mandate of President Rumen Radev, co-chair of We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB) Kiril Petkov announced.
There is no support for our approach, namely anti-corruption laws and then talk of a government. This puts us in a situation where we cannot realize the second mandate.
This was stated by Bozhidar Bojanov from the WCC-DB negotiation team after meetings with the parliamentary groups of the 50th National Assembly, BGNES reported.
"We will not abuse the time and we are ready to immediately return the mandate at the first convenient moment for President Radev", emphasized the co-chairman of the association Kiril Petkov.
It makes no sense to discuss what will happen in a hypothetical situation, Nikolay Denkov said for his part. Let's see who will be the mandate holder, he answered a media question.
BGNES reminds that at the beginning of the week "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" they asked President Rumen Radev for time and postponement of the handing over of the second mandate to form a government in order to find support for important reforms directed against corruption. President Radev emphasized that the Constitution must be respected in its part for handing over the mandates. PP-DB requested a 3-month postponement and proposed a package of legal solutions. | BGNES
