Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban praised President Rumen Radev for his position on the war in Ukraine, BGNES reported.
The two met today at the diplomatic forum in Antalya, Türkiye.
"There are few leaders in Europe who dare to speak up for peace. Thank you for your courage and friendship, Mr. President!", Orban wrote on his X profile after the talks.
The two discussed Hungarian-Bulgarian economic relations with a special focus on energy security.
"Both sides expressed concern about the potential escalation of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict and called for a ceasefire and peace talks. They firmly rejected recent proposals to deploy European troops in Ukraine," the Hungarian prime minister's press office was quoted as saying by Hungary Today.
Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and Marton Nagy, Minister of Economic Development, were also present at the meeting. /BGNES
