Two firefighters were injured in the fire at a waste processing plant near Bulgarian village of Tsaratsovo

The waste processing plant near the Bulgarian village of Tsaratsovo, which caught fire last night, has been completely destroyed, reported the correspondent of BGNES in the region.

The fire has been contained, but there are still smoldering areas.

The flames also spread to a nearby trucking company, and two firefighters were injured while extinguishing it. Two TIR trucks of the company were also completely burnt.

Due to the burning of the fires, smoke continues to drift over the area. The wind blows it in the direction of Plovdiv.

Air quality monitoring stations are reporting no pollution, however measurements will continue throughout the day today. | BGNES
