Tsvetan Vassilev: I am not a criminal, but I am wrongfully accused and not wanted by Interpol

"I am not a criminal, I am accused. In this, I am accused by the former chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev, who was thrown out as chief prosecutor from the prosecutor's office due to damage to its prestige. Besides, I am not wanted by "Interpol", Tsvetan Vassilev said during a hearing in the commission for "The Notary", BGNES reported.

Regarding the accusations by the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) that he is a Russian agent, Vassilev stated that the Russian bank VTB was officially a shareholder in the largest telecom in Bulgaria - "Vivacom" for 5 years.

"The Euro" is a major participant in the organization of the attack against the Corporate Commercial Bank," Vassilev also said.

He noted that it is no secret that until mid-2013, KTB was actively lending to projects of the Peevski-Krasteva family, including some joint projects.

Vassilev is adamant that Petyo Petrov-"The Euro" is the main technical organizer of the preparation of the strike against KTB.

Earlier, as the first, second and third items on the commission's agenda, the hearing of Lozan Panov, the chairman of the MRF Delyan Peevski and the acting minister of internal affairs Kalin Stoyanov was scheduled. However, they did not appear.

"Ms Matryoshkin, according to which line of the internal rules did you decide that a wanted person with a red notice from "Interpol" should be heard," Hamid Hamid from MRF addressed Nadezhda Yordanova from We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB).

Zlatan Zlatanov emphasized that KTB is the biggest affair since the dawn of democracy.

Hamid noted that the WCC-DB has been disrupting the parliament session all day. Four ministers have been standing since lunch in the plenary hall waiting to be heard, and you prefer to listen to the swindler of the century, he emphasized.

Stanislav Anastasov from MRF suggested that the hearing should not be held in the National Assembly but in the Russian Cultural Centre. "I am asking you not to do such things in the National Assembly," he urged.

Georgi Georgiev from GERB also noted that four ministers are standing and waiting to talk about the lack of water in 240 settlements in the country.

"The arguments have run out in this debate, so I'm putting the proposed agenda to a vote," Yordanova said.

The agenda was adopted by the committee members. As it became clear that there was no confirmation from Lozan Panov, Delyan Peevski, and Kalin Stoyanov could not participate this week in the hearing, the commission moved on to the hearing of Tsvetan Vassilev. | BGNES
