In the framework of the campaign for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases among young people "120/80. Choose your heart number" campaign of Sofia Municipality and Microlife, blood pressure measurement corners have been set up in the three transit metro stations - Sofia University, Serdika and NDK. They will be freely used by the citizens of Sofia and the guests of the capital, and especially for the campaign, videos with tips for proper blood pressure measurement have been filmed, as well as those with interesting facts about how food, drinks and lifestyle affect blood pressure.
"Arterial hypertension is one of the silent killers. It affects 1 in 8 young people aged 20 to 40. The earlier it is detected, the more opportunities there are for a long and happy life," points out Assoc. Svetlin Tsonev, leading cardiologist and angiologist.
Assoc. Tsonev is also the face of the campaign aimed at raising awareness about hypertension and the importance of regular blood pressure control. | BGNES
