The two largest coalitions in the Bulgarian parliament continue negotiations a day before the handing over of the first mandate
GERB-UDF and WCC-DB have been negotiating for 6 days to form a government, and the progress of the negotiations, which continue tomorrow, March 14, is not yet clear.
Against this background, President Rumen Radev will hand over the mandate to form a cabinet on March 15, BGNES reported.

On the part of GERB, an agreement was put on the table, which would turn the assembly into a coalition. WCC-DB, on the other hand, propose a memorandum with a mechanism for appointments to the regulators.
On the part of GERB-UDF, an all-female team consisting of Maria Gabriel, Raya Nazaryan, Temenuzka Petkova and Denitsa Sacheva participated in the negotiations, while WCC-DB was represented by an all-male team consisting of Nikolay Denkov and the leaders of WCC-DB Kiril Petkov, Hristo Ivanov Atanas Atanasov and Asen Vassilev.
The outcome of the negotiations depends on whether there will be a government with Prime Minister Maria Gabriel or early parliamentary elections, which will be held with a vote for MEPs in June.

On the fifth day of the negotiations, the co-chairman of WCC-DB, Gen. Atanas Atanasov stated that personnel issues are currently being discussed, and "negotiations are going very well".

BGNES reminds that Nikolay Denkov resigned on March 6.
During the consultations with the president this week, Maria Gabriel, announced as a possible prime minister, clarified that they need more time.
The talks are constructive, but until everything is agreed, nothing is agreed, Kiril Petkov said
