The Thracian Tomb of Mezek (close to Bulgarian-Turkish border) - a marvel on the Balkans

The tomb at Mezek is one of the largest on the Balkan Peninsula and represents a Magnificent architectural facility. It is a Mycenaean-type Thracian dome tomb dated to the 4th - 3rd centuries BC.
It was discovered in 1931 in a mound with a height of 14 m and a diameter of more than 90 m. It was studied by the famous Bulgarian archaeologist Bogdan Filov. BGNES/CHAVDAR STOILOV
