The District Prosecutor's Office in Plovdiv submitted a request to the court for the treatment of a 28-year-old woman who threatened the singer Dara Ekimova and Sanya Armutlieva. The music producer and singer filed a complaint earlier this week about threats on social media.
The District Prosecutor's Office-Plovdiv announced that today in the District Court-Plovdiv it filed a request pursuant to Art. 156, paragraph 1, item 1 and art. 157, item 1 of the Health Act for mandatory accommodation and treatment in a specialized psychiatric facility and the appointment of a forensic psychiatric examination for the presence of a psychiatric disorder of the 28-year-old G.N.
The Plovdiv District Court is scheduled to open a hearing on the case within the legal term.
BGNES recalls that Sanya Armutlieva raised the alarm about the threats, including those for murder, through social networks and in an interview on national air.
"A nice, talented and successful girl - Dara Ekimova, has been receiving such messages for months!
When I first saw what was happening last year, our lawyers filed a report on her behalf with the General Directorate Combating Organized Crime, Ministry of Interior, the cyber department was activated, and they found the identity and address of - pay attention now: "a woman from Plovdiv", searched her home, seized her phones and computer, initiated a criminal case. In parallel with it, another case was opened in Haskovo - on the report of another victim. Most recently, it was terminated by a prosecutor's decree due to the insanity of the person requesting compulsory treatment under the Health Act, writes Armutlieva. As a result of the first case, the woman in question was placed in a specialized institution for 1 month, after which she was released, she came out and today she is active again - writes all day to Dara Ekimova from new profiles, comments under every publication of "Virginia" Records", regarding the upcoming new album of the singer - last, before we delete, I read that "Dara Ekimova has died"...
I ask: Is it possible that the system in our country cannot do anything significant to protect people who become victims of ugly threats, insults, verbal abuse, and cyber harassment by recidivists? If someone is declared insane and therefore not responsible for their actions, is it normal to let them continue to carry out their criminal act? Does one month of forced treatment in a specialized facility equate to nearly two years of almost daily harassment that continues? We have collected new evidence and on Monday we will release a new alert, if necessary there will be a new case and we will not give up until the state takes adequate measures", signalled Sanya Armutlieva. | BGNES
