President Rumen Radev did not accept the stay of Kalin Stoyanov in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The proposed new Bulgarian caretaker cabinet of Gorica Grancharova - Kozhareva failed. President Rumen Radev refused to sign the decree for the appointment of a new caretaker government because of Kalin Stoyanov, reported a BGNES reporter.
I have made a firm decision that Kalin Stoyanov will remain the Minister of Internal Affairs, Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva stated to the head of state. Radev insisted that Kozhareva reconsider her decision and gave her until 3 p.m. today to propose another minister.
I have made my decision in an informed manner, I have met with everyone. The responsibility is mine, the judgment is yours, said Grancharova-Kozhareva, after President Rumen Radev said that there would be no swearing-in on Tuesday in the parliament.
Tomorrow there will be no oath in the parliament. The elections are postponed until after October 20. The government of Dimitar Glavchev continues to fulfill its commitments, the president announced. | BGNES
