President Rumen Radev will announce today the schedule of consultations with the parties represented in parliament after the resignation of the government of Academician Nikolay Denkov was voted yesterday, BGNES reported.
With this act of the head of state, the constitutional procedure of holding consultations with the parliamentary groups before handing over a mandate to form a government will begin.
The government of Academician Denkov in resignation will continue to govern the country until a new cabinet is elected.
At the same time, talks between GERB - Union of Democratic Forces (GERB-UDF) coalition and We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB) are expected to begin on Friday, March 8 at the latest, to implement the rotation, in which the resigned Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maria Gabriel, should head the new cabinet for the next 9 months.
The co-chairman of PP Kiril Petkov stated in the parliament that Gabriel should be prime minister and WCC-DB does not want to go to new elections, but the new government should be reformist. /BGNES
