At today's meeting of the National Council of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP), the party's outgoing leader Kornelia Ninova was expelled.
She was the head of the formation for eight years. The decision was supported by 105 votes in favour, 16 against and four abstentions, BGNES reported.
According to the current leadership of the BSP, the former leader created a legal case around the legitimacy of the party's leadership, jeopardizing their participation in the upcoming elections in October, as well as in violation of the BSP's charter. I BGNES
