The MEC-Sofia will distribute all election papers specified in item 1 of the instructions of the Central Election Commission (CEC), which have not been amended or cancelled.
"This is in view of the fact that a decision is published on the website of the Ministry of e-Government, contrary to the reasons of the CEC, from which it is evident that it was signed by the Ministry of e-Government, the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology and the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization, having certified the conformity of the technical devices. So we are not aware whether or not this certification has been accepted. Apart from that, the decision of the CEC is subject to appeal before the Supreme Court." This is what the chairperson of MEC-Sofia Polina Vitanova told the broadcaster BTV.
"The voting machines are handed over to the MEC by Ciela Norma. If they hand over the machines, there will be machine voting in Sofia. I ask that the MEC's decision not be misread", Vitanova insisted./BGNES
