Dimitar Glavchev, designated as acting prime minister, today presented the composition of the Council of Ministers to the president and the parliamentary delegations from the 49th National Assembly, reported a BGNES reporter.
Rumen Radev announced that he has no intention of delaying the political process and next Tuesday he will issue three decrees - for the caretaker government, for elections to the European Parliament and for extraordinary parliamentary elections on June 9.
Until Monday, the "window for changes" in the composition remains open, although Dimitar Glavchev was adamant that no one would convince him to make changes to his nominations.
Glavchev defined his choice for the nomination of the current interior minister, Kalin Stoyanov, as the most difficult.
"I have not made a compromise with anyone, but I was most hesitant about Kalin Stoyanov. The resignation of the general secretary tipped the scales towards Stoyanov," explained Glavchev. He refused to comment on political statements, referring to the reaction of the We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB), which defined Kalin Stoyanov's stay in the official cabinet as "impudence" and declared that they would expel Georgi Gvozdeikov from the WCC if he remained in the government.
Ludmila Petkova will be the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in the Glavchev cabinet.
So far, she has held the position of Deputy Minister of Finance three times. In 2022 in the office of Galab Donev, in and the periods June 2013 - August 2014 and September-December 2021. From 2000 to 2010, Lyudmila Petkova held managerial positions in the tax administration. Since April 2010, he has been the director of the "Tax Policy" Directorate at the Ministry of Finance. Since 2019, he has been the chairman of the "Code of Conduct" Group (Corporate Taxation) at the Council of the EU. She holds a master's degree in "Economics and Trade Management" from Bulgarian University of National and World Economy. She specialized in the field of European administrative practice.
Glavchev proposes the current Ministry of Internal Affairs chief Kalin Stoyanov as acting minister of internal affairs.
Glavchev recalled that the police union firmly stood behind Stoyanov and they will be demotivated to participate in the organization of the elections if he is replaced.
Before Stoyanov headed the Ministry of Defense, he held executive and managerial positions in the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Burgas, he was the head of the "Special Operations" department at the National Directorate of Combating the Organized Crime (NDCOC). In 2021, by order of Boyko Rashkov, he was temporarily reappointed to the position of director of the NDCOC.
Glavchev proposes Violeta Koritarova as acting minister of regional development and public works.
Violeta Koritarova, appointed to head the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works (MRDPW), was appointed executive director of the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre in 2018 by the then Minister of the GERB Nikolay Nankov.
Ivaylo Ivanov is the ex-officio Minister of Social Policy, he is the current director of the National Insurance Agency. He was both deputy director and director of the Social Assistance Agency.
Dimitar Glavchev is proposing Atanas Zapryanov as acting Minister of Defense. He was on the list of Nikolay Gabrovski in 2022. Lieutenant General Zapryanov is a well-known name in military circles.
From June 2006 to March 2010, he was appointed as the military representative of the Republic of Bulgaria in the Military Committee of NATO and the Military Committee of the EU in Brussels, Belgium. During his military service, he was awarded various orders and medals, including the Order "For Military Merit - 1st degree". He was also the Deputy Minister of Defense. Glavchev proposed Ivaylo Varbanov Tsenov as acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ivaylo Tsenov has very good connections with the Austrian government. He was a long-time consul in Vienna and an employee of the embassy. "I was guided by the fact that Vienna is the only one against land-based Schengen", Dimitar Glavchev motivated his nomination.
For Acting Minister of Justice, Maria Pavlova was proposed.
Maria Pavlova, who has been proposed as acting minister of justice, is currently the deputy chief prosecutor of Borislav Sarafov. Before that, she was a deputy minister in Galab Donev's office and remained in the post until she was dismissed by Denkov's regular government. She was acting minister of justice earlier in 2017.
Nayden Todorov is Glavchev's choice for acting Minister of Culture. The director of the Sofia Philharmonic has already held the position in the Ministry of Culture.
Naydenov was a caretaker minister in the caretaker government appointed by Rumen Radev from February 3, 2023. The nomination for participation in the office finds Naydenov in Italy, where on April 6 he will conduct the San Remo Symphony Orchestra.
For the acting Minister of Education, the proposal is for Prof. Galin Tsokov to remain in office.

Vladimir Malinov is proposed for acting Minister of Energy. He is the executive director of Bulgartransgaz EAD.
Valentin Mundrov - the current Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Electronic Government, is the proposal to become an acting minister.
Tourism goes to Evtim Miloshev.

The ex-NBA and Bulgarian basketball star Georgi Glushkov and the current president of Bulgarian Federation of Basketball is proposed for the Minister of Sports.
On September 25, 1985, Glushkov was selected in the National Basketball Association (NBA) Draft with the number 148 pick by the Phoenix Suns, becoming the first Bulgarian and Eastern European player in the League. He only had one season left in Phoenix and was sent back to Europe. For the national team, Glushkov played in a total of four European championships - in 1979, 1985, 1989 and 1991. He has been the president of the Bulgarian Federation of Basketball since 2011. /BGNES
