10 days remain until the elections for the National Assembly and for members of the European Parliament.
A total of 769 sections in 60 countries will be opened on June 9. In 388 sections, the elections will be 2 in 1 - and for the European Parliament. In 245 sections, voting will be done by machines. More than 700 people will be posted abroad.
There will be real-time video surveillance to track the counting of ballots and the drawing up of minutes by the sectional committees. It is the duty of the government to provide internet in the sections required for broadcasting picture and sound. Also, the government must ensure a high level of protection against cyber attacks and process compromise.
Counting of votes begins after the announcement of the end of the election day - with the exception of those outside the country, in medical facilities, homes for the elderly, places of punishment and detention and in mobile polling stations. /BGNES
