Sofia
The election day in Sofia for the national and European Parliament started calmly. In the capital's 127th "Ivan Denkoglu" secondary school, the polling stations opened precisely at 07:00. Boyan Turlakov, chairman of the 4th SEC at the school, told BGNES that the election papers were delivered on time. "At 10:45 p.m. yesterday, the car came, gave the necessary documents, we checked everything and on the spot we signed the protocols for receiving ballots, papers and lists. Everything was fine," Turlakov said. He explained that he made sure to have clear instructions for the ballot boxes, for the ballots - where is the vote for the national, where for the European Parliament.
"Blue - for the European Parliament, green - for the National Assembly, I have also put flags, I played around to see which ballot box goes into which ballot. In the machines, the short ballot is for the EU, and the long one is for the National Assembly, so that there is no confusion", emphasized the chairman of the sectional election commission.
So far, there is no queue of people wishing to vote.
Plovdiv
Election day in Plovdiv started normally, there will be voting in 472 sections. However, 35 of them are in different places than before.
More than 303 thousand people in Plovdiv have the right to elect people's representatives for the Bulgarian parliament, and for the European one they are 9,000 less, because not all of them meet the conditions for being settled.
Burgas
Election day began in Burgas peacefully. In the Burgas Region, 362,885 people have the right to vote in the parliamentary elections, and nearly 10,000 fewer are the voters in the European Parliament elections. In 595 sections in the district, voting will be done by machines and ballots, and in 161, the election will be carried out only by ballots. For the first time after the end of the election day, the Regional Election Commission will accept the documents from the Sectional Commissions in the new sports hall "Arena Burgas".
Pazardzhik
In the Pazardzhik region, the elections for the European and national parliament will be held in 367 sections, and the election day began at exactly 7:00 a.m. 8 of the sections are mobile, and another 9 were found in some of the medical and social facilities in the area. In 30 sections, voting will be by paper only.
Kyustendil
Polling stations in Kyustendil opened at 7 a.m. and the election day began peacefully. In the Kyustendil region, voting will take place in 284 sections, with 4 mobile sections. There are machines in 170. 20 parties and 11 coalitions are competing for the four mandates in Kyustendilsko for the National Assembly and for deputies for the European Parliament in Brussels.
Stara Zagora
The election day on the territory of the Stara Zagora region began in a calm atmosphere, reported BGNES.
All necessary measures have been taken to protect public order, fire safety and ensure a peaceful election day. The employees of ODMVR - Stara Zagora have taken over the security of all sections on the territory of the district.
An organization has been created and the units of the Directorate "Bulgarian Identity Documents" will work today from 08:30 to 19:00. They will issue certificates (for lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed) identity cards and expired documents with a view to exercising the voting rights of citizens.
ruse
The election day was successfully opened in all 337 sections in the eight Ruse municipalities. Its end is announced at 20.00, but exceptionally where there are people waiting to vote, it can be extended by another hour, i.e. to 9:00 p.m. There are currently no reports of violations anywhere in the region and all 337 sections opened on time. The organization of the sectional committees is very good and there is no delay in the voting process. Voting is fast with almost no waiting time. Where necessary, all changes in the composition of the sectional election commissions were carried out on time. In all sections with over 300 voters, which are 289 for the region and 203 for the Ruse municipality, voting can also be done by machine. There, in practice, the way to vote depends on the voter's desire, but there is an exception in cases where the voter does not have the right to vote in one of the two elections. Then he must vote with the ballot paper to which he is admitted. Paper ballots will be used compulsorily in sections with less than 300 people.
Montana
As of 7:00 a.m., there were still no voters in Montana. A record number of sections were opened in the district - 296, and in 184 of them - voting will be done by machine. There are a little over 44 thousand voters in the municipality of Montana, the youngest of them is 18 years old, who is turning today, and the oldest is 99 years old. /BGNES
