The Bulgarian Football Union Congress accepted the resignation of Borislav Mihailov

The Bulgarian Football Union Congress accepted the resignation of Borislav Mihailov, reported BGNES. With the vote, it was accepted that the current president of the Football Union should be released from responsibility for his previous management.

Mihailov's resignation was accepted with 303 votes "for" and 12 "against". "In recent years, this was like football "during cholera". The revolutionaries did not understand that football does not need a revolution, but unity, peace and tranquility. They caused an ugly revolution in the streets," said Mihailov in his final address to the delegates. At Mihailov's suggestion, the vote was open to save time.

After that, the release of the members of the Executive Committee was also accepted with 318 votes "For" and 12 "Against".

Before that, the Congress voted on the report on the implementation of the BFS program for the last two years, as well as the organization's financial report. A third item on the agenda for appeals to Congress passed without a vote as there were no appeals.

After the voting on the resignation of Mihailov and the Executive Committee, the chairperson of the meeting, Atanas Furnadzhiev, adjourned until 2:00 p.m. /BGNES
