Pursuant to a decision of the Council of Ministers dated October 12, 2023, military personnel from the Bulgarian Army will carry out restoration and repair work on the engineering facility of an obstructing type on the Bulgarian-Turkish border and the road adjacent to it, the Ministry of Defense announced.
A formation of 20 servicemen with 10 units of equipment from the 55th Engineer Regiment - Belene from the composition of the Ground Forces begins work on the implementation of the joint plan of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense for the activities of carrying out urgent repair and restoration activities along the state border and the adjoining road.
Until December 31, 2023, construction and installation activities will be carried out daily on the obstruction-type facility together with reapir works on the adjacent road.
The necessary construction and assembly materials, household inventory and equipment are provided by the Main Directorate "Border Police", within the framework of the unspent funds approved under the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 2022. /BGNES
