Detainee Rumen Gaitanski-Valka (Bulgarian nickname meaning "The Wolf" - editor's note), who is appealing the most severe remand order imposed on him a week ago by the Sofia City Court, remains permanently in custody.

The court motivated its decision with the danger that Gaitanski would run away if he were free. Final arrest is required because of the gravity of the crime he is accused of.

The third, who is being investigated for embezzlement of an unsecured loan worth nearly BGN 150 million, is lawyer Ivan Georgiev. He was released on bail of BGN 50,000.
