"This is a triumph not only of beauty, grace and excellent sports training, it is national pride. We as a Foundation and all Bulgarians should be proud of the well-deserved honors of our gymnasts". This was stated to BGNES by one of the founders of the "Sports in Bulgaria" Foundation, Rossi McKee, during the last Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia, in which the Bulgarian gymnasts won five new medals.
McKee presented Daria Atamanov of Israel with the newly established award for the best foreign competitor in Sofia. "We think that the foreign competitors perform well and keep the level of rhythmic gymnastics at an extremely high level. Undoubtedly, in this competition in Sofia, the individual competitor who distinguished herself and became the center of attention of the Sport in Bulgaria Foundation was Daria Atamanov from Israel. This contestant showed an extremely good performance and that was the reason we awarded her. Her talent is indisputable and we wish her much success in the future," she commented.
"For several years, we have been a Foundation that stands and supports our national team in rhythmic gymnastics, as well as the Federation. Our gymnasts are at an extremely high, world level. Rhythmic gymnastics has traditionally held the top places in the world and this continues to be a fact. We think that our gymnasts performed extremely well, showed extremely good preparation and deservedly won many titles. I want to congratulate Stiliyana Nikolova, Boryana Kalein, as well as our ensemble and wish them much success at the upcoming Olympics in Paris," added McKee, after Bulgarian gymnasts finished the World Cup with a total of 3 gold and 5 silver medals.
"Bulgaria has always held an extremely good level as an organizer and host. We think that the full hall shows that this is indeed a fact, both from the Bulgarian audience and from the international audience, this is appreciated. We hope that in the future we will remain the center of rhythmic gymnastics in the world," said McKee regarding the organization of the competition in Sofia. /BGNES
