Rosen Zhelyazkov is in a bomb shelter in Kyiv

The Speaker of the National Assembly, Rosen Zhelyazkov, and the Bulgarian delegation he heads on a visit to Ukraine, are in a bomb shelter in Kyiv.
The evacuation to the secure facility was ordered due to an air raid alert around 6am local time.

The alarm has been triggered, except in Kyiv, and in all Ukrainian regions. The Air Force has warned of upcoming Russian cruise missile strikes.

"Several Tu-95 strategic bombers have taken off from Olenya Airport in Murmansk Region, Russia. The Olenya Air Base in Russia is one of the main airports from which fighter jets take off with missiles to bomb Ukraine," The Independent said. .

Several explosions were heard in Kharkiv, Kiev and Cherkasy. Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleg Sunihubov said Russian forces launched at least four strikes on Kharkiv around 6 a.m. local time. According to Suniehubov, an infrastructure object was attacked in the Slobidski district of the city.

No casualties were reported following the attack, however the governor urged residents to stay in shelters.
