The Speaker of the 50th National Assembly was categorical that there were no grounds for her replacement.
I want to state very clearly that I have no ambitions to become the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, and if I am invited by President Rumen Radev to take up this position, I will decline.
This was stated by the Speaker of the 50th National Assembly, Raya Nazaryan, BGNES reported.
"We should not talk with hypotheses, but with facts. And the facts are indisputable, and they are that I have not given a single reason to require any change of the Speaker of the National Assembly", Nazaryan categorically told journalists in the parliament. She emphasized that she made a lot of efforts and so far the dialogue between the various parties has been restored and there is consistency and usefulness of the legislative initiative.
Earlier, on the sidelines of the parliament, the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) chairman Delyan Peevski announced that President Radev, "through his We Continue The Change - Democratic Bulgaria (WCC-DB) pawns", tried to organize the overthrow of Raya Nazaryan.
In conclusion, Nazaryan noted that the GERB party has always won elections honestly, and transparently, and not with official victories to occupy positions. | BGNES
