Raya Nazaryan from GERB-UDF did not collect the required number of votes for the Speaker of the Bulgarian National Assembly, reported BGNES.
A re-vote followed. 116 MPs voted "for", 69 - "against" and 55 abstained.
Raya Nazaryan from GERB-UDF, Petar Petrov from Vazrazhdane, Silvi Kirilov from ITN and Prof. Yuliana Mateeva from Velichie are the candidates.
The candidacy of Raya Nazaryan was presented by Temenuzhka Petkova, deputy chairperson of the PG of GERB-SDS, that of Petar Petrov by Tsveta Rangelova from "Vazrazhdane", by Silvi Kirilov, who currently leads the National Assembly, by Toshko Yordanov from ITN, and that of Prof. Yuliana Mateeva from Viktoria Vasileva. | BGNES
