Rami Kewan is one success away from a medal in boxing after a second successive victory at the Paris Olympics

Ramy Kewan is through to the quarter-finals of the Olympic boxing tournament in the 71kg division after he decisively defeated the leader of the scheme Shannon Davey of Australia in his second match in Paris.

In his first fight in the French capital, Kiwan defeated the Polish Damian Durkach.

The Bulgarian boxer totally outplayed one of the favorites for the title and got the victory by unanimous decision, with the five judges giving him a unanimous advantage in all three rounds. Throughout the fight, Kewan relied on good movement and excellent counter-attacking, constantly finding his opponent on his attacks.

In doing so, Kewan achieved a second victory in Paris and needs another success to secure an Olympic medal. For a place in the semi-finals, Kiwan will argue with Omari Jones (USA) or Kang Chia-wei from Taiwan. The match will take place on August 3 at 17:02 Bulgarian time. | BGNES
