According to exceptions from the parliamentary group (PG) of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) MP, the deputy governor of the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB), Petar Chobanov, can perform the role of prime minister if he manages to resist the pressure.
Both Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski were involved in Dimitar Glavchev's decisions. Whoever is prime minister should not have such dependencies.
This was stated by Ramadan Atalay, the MP expelled from the PG of the MRF and a long-time member of the movement. As an example, Atalay gave the change of regional governors.
However, whether the deputy governor of the BNB, Petar Chobanov can fulfil the role, given his positions on the Corporate Commercial Bank (KTB) case.
Petar Chobanov can be acting prime minister. The point is that he has to resist those processes that are currently happening in Bulgaria, namely the pressure of certain political persons to try to arrange a caretaker government for themselves so that they can continue further actions that are advantageous to them, commented Atalay, referring to Delyan Peevski.
It is not clear to me whether Delyan Peevski has influence over Petar Chobanov or vice versa. If he accepts to be acting Prime Minister, it will be very difficult for him. And I am convinced that Chobanov is one of those who can withstand the pressure, Ramadan Atalai told bTV.
I am convinced that Peevski knows where 30 million from the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) are and not only them. The loans taken from BDB are not only Rumen Gaitanski's 150 million, there are rumours of another 500 million. And where are the 500 million from KTB, asked Ramadan Atalai.
Mr. Peevski should come out and say what the money path is, Atalay also said and added that he knows Rumen Gaitanski very well, defining him as a "very good businessman".
I did not participate in the management of the Varna Thermal Power Plant, Atalai answered when asked if Ahmed Dogan paid off the thermal power plant's loans with money taken by Rumen Gaitanski from BDB. | BGNES
