Radev: This is the last chance for a cabinet in the 50th National Assembly; ITN: The third term is a greater responsibility than the first two

President Rumen Radev handed over the folder with the third mandate to Toshko Yordanov from "There is such a people", reported BGNES.

According to the head of state, this is the last chance for the 50 National Assembly to produce a government and for it "not to fly away hastily and without significant achievements in history". He recalled that from the very beginning of this process, ITN advocated the need for a regular government and "stand for the formula of expert and supra-party governance".

"Against the background of inter-party conflicts and intra-party discord, ITN has demonstrated the resilience of its parliamentary group and its positions. I hope this will help you in the successful implementation of the mandate," said Radev.

He hopes that the ITN will approach the formation of the cabinet with responsibility.

"The third mandate has its specificity because it provides greater flexibility and does not oblige you to present a candidate for prime minister today, but to do it at a later stage and after talks with the political forces represented in the parliament. I urge you to proceed to these talks immediately, to bet on a constructive and transparent approach and to inform me about their results in a reasonable time," the president added.

Toshko Yordanov stated that they are fully aware of the severe crisis the country is in and that forming a cabinet with the third mandate is a greater responsibility than with the first two mandates.

"We are aware of the responsibility, it is even greater than with the first two mandates. We will take an extremely practical and sensible approach. We will hold talks with all parliamentary parties and independent MPs because to get out of the crisis Bulgaria is in, the future administration must start with broad parliamentary support to have legitimacy in front of Bulgarian society and to solve the problems", emphasized Yordanov.

He promised that the process will be extremely transparent and in front of everyone. "There will be no room for interpretation of what is happening. Bulgarian society will monitor this process and draw a conclusion about whether there are responsible politicians in the Jubilee 50 National Assembly or not," Yordanov said and promised to start the talks tomorrow. | BGNES
