"Why do prosecutors and services not undertake or release the data of inspections and cases of high public sensitivity cases related to the Bulgarian presidential administration, despite numerous media publications and publicly disclosed signals?"
This question was addressed to the chief prosecutor, the chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the heads of the Bulgarian State Agency for National Security and the Anti-Corruption Commission, the chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF), Delyan Peevski. According to Peevski, there should be no doubts in society about an institutional umbrella or concealment of violations related to abuse of power or corrupt practices, because only in this way will the state prove its Euro-Atlantic values and principles.
He insists that the competent authorities inform about signals, data, and progress of files from the last three years, which have been repeatedly written and talked about in the public space. The scandalous revelations, because of which Peevski defined the presidency as a "dark institution full of a lot of cash", became known as Cashgate - the road of Koprinka named after the presidential adviser Nikolay Koprinkov.
A week ago, Delyan Peevski announced that he would seek information about the "Koprinkata road" and the so-called "Treasurers" of the president, as well as about the role of Nikolay Koprinkov and Sotir Ushev during the interim governments of Rumen Radev.
"Society has questions, and we are elected by the people, and I am asking these questions. Where are these cases and why has nothing been reported," asked the chairman of the MRF PG.
We start asking about all the questions. Everything should be in front of people's eyes. The darkness will end," Peevski is emphatic. /BGNES
