Over 3,000 energy workers and miners from Bulgarian town of Stara Zagora went to protest in Bulgaria's capital

More than 3,000 energy workers and miners from Stara Zagora left early this morning for Sofia for a protest rally to postpone the liberalization of the electricity market and in defence of energy and coal mining workers, reported the BGNES correspondent in the region.

They are adamant that they will remain in the Bulgarian capital until their demands are met, and this will be the last peaceful protest, after which they will move to civil disobedience.

The protest will take place in front of the buildings of the Bulgarian National Assembly and the Council of Ministers.

Workers at the "Maritsa Iztok" complex, "Bobov Dol" Thermal Power Plant (TPP), "Brickel" TPP and "Toplofikatsia-Pernik" will also join the rally./BGNES
