Whether it is Daniel Mitov or Glavchev, it is Borisov.
The Bulgarian Socislist Party (BSP) elected a completely new leadership of the Party's City Organization headed by Diana Tonova.
This was stated by BSP leader Cornelia Ninova, BGNES reported.
"The long-awaited processes in the city organization of the BSP ended with today's conference. The party made its decision after holding conferences in all areas of Sofia. Today, the 147 party members of the conference elected the new leadership of the Sofia organization of the BSP. They elected Diana Tonova as the chairman of the City Council, and Tanya Naydenova as the chairman of the control commission," said Ninova.
82 votes were cast for Tonova against 63 for the other candidate. According to Ninova, the election was absolutely democratic. She determined that the best course of action would be to let the members of the city organization choose their leadership. A new city council was also elected, Ninova added. It is about 74 people.
"We hope that the saga in the Sofia organization is over. We have a serious campaign ahead of us. Diana Tonova is the only one who did not vote in the Metropolitan Municipality for the assembly. I behave with dignity and principle, unlike the other municipal councilors," said Ninova.
The BSP leader commented on current political issues. She explained that the vote of no confidence has been filed and is in the registry of the National Assembly. "It now depends on the chairman of the National Assembly when he will schedule it," Ninova said.
Regarding the situation with the foreign minister, she said: "Whether it's Daniel Mitov or Glavchev, it's Borisov. It is as if we are appointing Borisov as foreign minister, because both are bright faces of GERB. i.e. GERB will conduct the elections abroad. Of course we don't agree with that."
Ninova stated that with every passing day there is evidence that this cabinet is partisan and political of GERB. /BGNES
