"We are extremely pleased with the results. So far we have 72 mayors, compared to 57 in the previous local elections. A categorical increase in the number of mayors and we are the second political force in terms of mayors. We win four regional cities - Shumen, Razgrad, Ruse and Silistra".
This was stated by BSP leader Cornelia Ninova, BGNES reported.
"We are increasing our number of votes for municipal councilors by about 50,000 votes. Together with Movement for Rights and Freedoms, we are the two parties that are increasing our votes both for the party and as the number of mayors in the country. We expect to see what will happen in Sofia," Ninova added.
According to her, the big loser in these elections is GERB, and "this model is starting to break down". Ninova is adamant that the party is consolidated and the results prove it.
"In the first days, we introduce a vote of no confidence", announced Ninova, explaining that this will happen in the first days of the parliament's work after the local elections.
She commented that they made coalitions with different parties during the local elections. "This is a high quality in politics. To be able to make alliances. I don't know why Borisov is surprised by this," she pointed out. /BGNES
